Good news!!! ( sort of)

I just got a call from Kumar. The good news is that I wont be spending any money on the home.....we didn't get it ;(. The house went for $74K over the list, still $50K over what we offered.

On one side, we're bummed we didn't get it, but it gives us some solace that the house was probably worth that much money and we would've never been able to afford it. So it makes it easier to lose if off my head now.

Getting myself a beer(or two) this evening, giving myself a break for a day from MLS and then getting back to work on Thursday.

Good night!

Making an offer today to the mountain view

This morning, I'm sitting with Kumar and making an offer to the townhome in mountain view. We really hope we get this. We are already virually living in this home over the last 48 hours. This home has just made a real mark on us. This is something that we can live comfortably and happily for the next 5-7 years.

We are again in the need to offer higher than the list price. We are going to go a little aggresive this time and big $25K over list. Lets see if this works!

Kumar is presenting the offer in person tomorrow evening at 5pm. We should know around 9pm, whether we need to go back to mlslistings.com or go to U-haul to get boxes. Wish us good luck!!

First look at a mountain view home

This afternoon, we looked at a open house on Ada Ave on mountain view. Its a dead-end street off whisman and central, nicely tucked away amidst big mature trees. The house was muy excellente! We got a first taste of how fine, the homes can get in the mtn view area. We are totally sold on this. The house is about 1700 sq ft, with bay windows in the kitchen overlooking the oversized wrap around yard. It also has a hot tub. Pergo flooring and very tastefully painted. Mountain view has its own rustic charm to it.

We considering making an offer on monday on this one. Wish us luck!
